Insight
We will start by helping you gather intelligent information on every aspect of your business. This will range from the physical (workflow, finance) to the human (management, morale). At each stage, the goal is to refine the process and give you greater control of the day-to-day running of the business, with less effort.
Control
The control phase begins the process that helps you get out from inside your business and away from the mire of day-to-day management issues. Good information is key to this, but it may also be useful for us to guide you through the implementation of innovative technologies that could save you time and money.
Scalability
A period of growth is often the time of greatest risk for a company of any size, but much of the uncertainty and risk of the growth-phase of a business can be eliminated by well-designed and implemented processes. This is the beauty of a process-orientated approach: processes, by their very definition, are scalable, requiring only the creation of new physical elements (people, hardware, buildings, etc.) to produce similar results when multiplied up.
Confidence
At the most basic level, confidence is what drives growth in business. Real confidence (as opposed to arrogance) has a solid footing in reality, is based on good information, and understands the overall strength of a business and its processes in context. An attempt by a business to grow without real confidence is almost certainly doomed to failure, so developing confidence is one of the key aims of Smart Growth as a whole.
Vision
Vision is the dream you have for your business in the future. However unreachable, however impossible it may seem in the present, we believe that with a process-orientated approach any business can develop the confidence required to get there. It’s easy to lose sight of a vision, or to undermine it with the day-to-day necessity of keeping the business running, and that’s why the preparatory phases of the Smart Growth process are designed to build confidence, to help you get out from inside your enterprise and into a position of control.
Growth
Whatever it may mean to you, growth is about doing more and doing better. It applies to the typical processes of scaling-up or expanding into new markets, but also encompasses better customer service, better value for money and better understanding of your business in context. This kind of personal or person-centred growth is typical of a progressive approach to business with a strong environmental and/or ethical component, to which the Smart Growth process is equally applicable.
