Our live Q&A returns this week with our finance expert Mark Nicholls, who will be on hand to answer your questions and give free advice to business owners.

Mark is a Chartered Management Accountant with over 30 years experience working with businesses from a £45k t/o bakery to British Gas.

He’s spent the last 10 years as a Finance Director in across various businesses, primarily within the IT, training and retail sectors, including Woolworths and Co-op Food.

“This is a great opportunity for business owners across all sectors to get in touch with any questions they have about how they can make their business work better for them,” said Mark.

“There aren’t many financial problems I haven’t already seen and solved and here at Smith and Brown, we offer a personal approach to business accounting, which always starts with the business owner.

“The first step is establishing the vision they have for themselves. Growth isn’t always the main objective, it can also be stability, preparing a business for sale or helping someone manage their business more effectively so they can spend more time at home with their family.”

“It’s then our job to look at and analyse the data to see how we can bring that vision alive.”
